To prepare Khaman (a popular Gujarati snack) using instant Khaman mix, you'll need the following ingredients and steps:

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg instant Khaman mix
  • Water (as per package instructions)
  • Oil for greasing
  • For tempering:
    • 2 tablespoons oil
    • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
    • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
    • 2-3 green chilies, chopped
    • A few curry leaves
    • 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
    • 2 tablespoons shredded coconut (optional)
    • Salt to taste
    • Sugar to taste
    • Lemon juice (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Follow the instructions on the instant Khaman mix package to prepare the batter. Typically, you'll need to mix the instant Khaman mix with water to form a smooth batter. The consistency should be thick yet pourable. Let the batter rest for a few minutes as per the instructions.
  2. Meanwhile, grease a shallow dish or thali with oil. Set it aside.
